The Wangari Muta Maathai (WMM) House will be a celebration of Wangari Maathai’s life and capture in three dimensions the vision, passion, and holistic consciousness of the first African woman and first environmentalist to be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. WMMH will promote positive values that foster cultures of peace transparency, accountability, honesty, tolerance and love for the environment. It’s ultimate goal is to inspire people, young and old, to lead lives of purpose and service and use the example of Prof. Wangari Muta Maathai’s life as a learning model for future environmental leaders.
